Queen Elizabeth is inviting guests of Buckingham Palace to explore the Queen’s Gallery with a twist. The gallery has been transformed to an Escape Room, honoring artist Leonardo da Vinci. Curious guests can visit, “Leonardo Artmergency” at the palace until mid-October. If you’re planning on visiting London between now and October, you can book a slotted time in the escape room on the activity’s website.

“Think like a Renaissance genius to unlock the mysteries in Leonardo’s drawings,” the website says. Your team will need careful observation, creative thinking, and detective work to beat the clock, but no prior art history knowledge is required.”
Kelly Richman-Abdou of, “The Modern Met” says that the escape room activities are being aligned with an exhibit called, “Leonardo da Vinci: A Life in Drawing,” which has been created to commemorate the 500th anniversary of the famous artist’s death.

It appears to be challenging, but it doesn’t look like you’ll need to be as smart as Tom Hanks to solves the puzzles.

escape rooms Atlantic CityAn escape room appearing at one of the world’s iconic landmarks shows how escape rooms have become a pop-culture trend. It makes you wonder if other historic landmarks across the world will follow in suit of Buckingham Palace. Think if the Leaning Tower of Pisa eventually allowed people to explore the tower and escape from a section of the tower by decracking mysteries surrounding the building. You’d think that more tourists would travel to these locations, solely to experience these landmarks like never before.

It also shows that escape rooms are growing in popularity in other places besides the United States. This way if you’re someone who thrives on solving puzzles at escape rooms at home, you can explore different escape rooms and their puzzles in other countries.

We hope that you give this escape room at Buckingham Palace a shot if you’re going to London this year. We just hope that you make sure to visit Room 4 Escape first!
